We know that our business has an impact on the environment, so, in line with the principle of sustainable development, we are constantly taking measures to minimise and reduce this impact. We monitor the legality of wood harvesting and sourcing of wood products, and are only willing to cooperate with partners who share our values and responsible approach to doing business.
Vertical integration is one of the factors that increases the ability to control production processes, and therefore their impact on the environment, and at the same time improves efficiency.
With this in mind, in 2018, we launched our own particle board factory, which fully covers our demand for this basic raw material for furniture production. Boards manufactured in our factory, which are characterized by low formaldehyde emission, meet the requirements of European and American markets.
From the design stage, we make sure that our products are safe and as friendly as possible for its users and the planet.
We choose certified resources and materials. We select components with the utmost care. We minimise the consumption of plastic and polystyrene and we are constantly working on optimizing the packaging methods in terms of its impact on the natural environment.
To be sure that our furniture is safe, we conduct regular product tests to ensure compliance with the relevant standards.

In our everyday work, we maintain good practices in this area by applying the principles described in the Fabryki Mebli ‘FORTE’ S.A. Capital Group Quality Policy.
We constantly demand more from ourselves than others demand from us. That is why we are committed to not only meeting all legally prescribed standards, but also exceeding them wherever possible.
Since 2018, our TANNE particle board factory has held a CARB II certification for the wood products it manufactures. It verifies that formaldehyde emissions comply with the stringent California Air Resources Board (CARB II) standards.
Since 2013, we have held an FSC TM chain of custody certification for furniture production, which we extended in 2018 to include particle board production at TANNE Sp. z o.o. Since 2023, we have also held PEFC Chain of Custody certification.
FSC TM and PEFC certifications exclude the use of raw materials obtained through theft or from unknown sources, as a result of predatory and irresponsible logging policies, from areas of special natural value or from other sources that raise legal, social and environmental concerns. By introducing these systems, we guarantee the traceability of the raw material supply chain, from the place of its acquisition to the finished product in which it is used.

We have, therefore, implemented the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Integrated Management System, which combines all these elements and helps us further support sustainable development, protect the environment, climate and biodiversity.
